William B. Hughes Jr. is the president and owner of Hughes Construction Corp., a second generation general contractor with over 30 years of experience across several facets in the construction industry.  He is a graduate of Austin Peay State Universeity having earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.  Mr. Hughes grew up in the construction business and know at a nearly age that he wanted to follow is father on the residential side of construction at Fox Ridge Homes in Nashville, TN where his father was a corporate officer.  During his tenure at Fox Ridge Homes his time was mostly spent working with residential construction.  Shortly after graduating from Austin Peay, Mr. Hughes obtained his real-estate license and sold real estate for five years.

Three years into selling real estate he began to build speculative residential housing while simultaneously marketing his own properties.  His desire however to build larger and more complex projects led him in 1994 to move his company towards commercial and industrial construction where his operation have kept their focus since.
